On Monday 23rd September 2019, Year One kicked off their topic ‘Poles apart’. We were very lucky to have a polar explorer visit our school.They tried on Polar kit, made polar bear masks and explored blubber gloves in science!

Year 2 had a very exciting day on the above date. The children had the opportunity to dress up as someone from the 17th Century as part of their ‘Great Fire of London Day’. To add to the excitement we had a visit from the Fire Brigade to talk about Fire Safety and ‘firefighting in the past and present day’, followed by a re-enacting the Great Fire by setting the houses they had made for homework on fire. This was to demonstrate how quickly fire can spread. A fantastic time was had by all!
