Yellow Fish Workshop: Friday 31st January 2025

Year 5 took part in a “Yellow Fish” workshop to explore our school drains.  It was led by the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust.  We made a “sewer soup” containing all of the things we put down our plug holes at home; this helped us to understand that we have to be more careful.  We now understand the impact of harmful materials in our drains which then flow into our waters and rivers.

Our topic this term has now changed and the children are learning all about ‘Antarctica’.

On Thursday this week we want to take the children on a walk around the school grounds, whilst pretending that we’re all going on an expedition! The children will need to bring in their hats, gloves, scarves and a warm coat if possible. We want to bring our topic work to life!
